JANUARY
Visit to the Terracotta Army Exhibition at the British Museum on Monday
21st January 2008.   The social committee have pre-booked a number of tickets for this event in order to get the group booking rate of £9.50 per person.

MARCH
There is an exhibition of Tutankhamun at the O2 Dome and the
Social committee have also pre-booked tickets for Monday 17th March
at the group booking rate of £12.50. 

APRIL
A Booze Cruise to France will be organised for Tuesday 8th April.  A coach will leave Croydon in the morning, travel to France and visit the Hypermarkets, have lunch and return to Croydon early evening. Cost will be in the region of £32 per person.

A get together at the Green Dragon pub in Croydon will be organised for the 30th April. 

MAY
7th May, a walk around Penshurst.  This is a 4 ½ mile circular parkland walk, meeting in the car park at Penshurst Place at 10.00am.  Sensible walking shoes required plus a change of footwear if you would like a pub lunch after.  Maggie Grandison will be at the car park to meet anyone who turns up.

A visit to Cherkley Court and Gardens near Leatherhead on Wednesday 14th May.  It was the home of Lord Beaverbrook and has splendid gardens as well as the House to visit.  Approximate cost will be £10 per person.

JUNE
A group of Nestle Pensioners will be taking a midweek break to Warners Hotel at Holme Lacey House near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire on 2nd June for 4 nights. Bed, Breakfast and evening meal is £307 per person sharing and add a £30 per night supplement for single occupancy.  Please contact Ann Goodway on 01737 765184 by 7th January to ensure we get a group reduction, if you would like to come along. 

JULY
Annual General Meeting on 14th July at the Town Hall, Croydon.

SEPTEMBER
A backstage visit to the Royal Opera House on Monday 8th September.  The tour takes about 1 ½ hours and is fully accessible but would need to know of any wheelchair users.  The cost is £8 per person and the time will be confirmed at a later date.

 “Last Night of the proms” Concert at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon on Saturday 27th September.

OCTOBER

Monday 20th October, a walk around Bedgebury. This is a 4 ½ mile circular woodland walk .  Unfortunately there is a car park charge of £6 per car so it is advisable to have 2/3 people per car if you can.   Maggie Grandison will be in the car park at 10.00am

NOVEMBER
The Nestle Pensioner’s Association Lunch will take place at Reigate Manor on Monday 10th November.  It will be a sit down starter, buffet main course with several options to choose from and dessert.  The cost and details of accommodation etc. will be sent out in the next edition of Contact.
