In 2002 a small group of Nestlé pensioners meeting socially decided that it was a shame that there was no organization allowing them to keep in touch with a wider circle of ex-Nestlé employees. This seed of an idea germinated into The Nestlé Pensioners' Association which was duly set up with the support of Nestlé UK Ltd. The Association today is independent of Nestlé UK although the company provides continuing support.

The main aim of The Nestlé Pensioners' Association is to provide ex-Nestlé employees with the opportunity to keep in touch with former colleagues and to make new friends. A newsletter is published three times a year, focusing on news, information, and publicising social networking events, days out and short holidays.
